Slippy's cool phone and LGs workflow

Hey Pals, Its Shaggy.

We are still crackin away at this pilot, but are in the last week or so. It has been a very exhausting and enlightening experience. One things for sure, it has brought to light many kinks in our production pipeline. I'm really looking forward to straightening things out once this is over and coming up with some more standard ways of doing things. As we move along and come up with new techniques, Ill keep you all posted.

One of the most important things to do before you begin an animation is a lot of preproduction and planning ahead to try and realize the problems before they arise. For some reason this has always been something that has been rushed here at LG. Normally its not to big of a problem because our pieces are fairly simple, and we usually have one to two weeks to complete an animation. What I want to do is a little more overlapping with what we are working on to allow more preproduction time for our bigger pieces. For example, while LaBamba and I are boarding and all that, the rest of the crew can work on smaller projects like "Robots Can't Act" that are fairly straight forward.

Anyway, just so we have something to post, Slippy took some really exciting footage of us working with his shweet new phone. His phone blows the Iphone out of the water because he can walk around and use it like a live webcam! totally awesome. I'm sure this technology will open a whole new world for the porn industry. (Oh and I lied about the footage being exciting)

Fun with Audio!

How do you guys come up with all these crazy, wacky, and hilarious ideas YOU ask? Well today is your lucky day, because I will give you guys a sneak peek into our exciting, spectacular creative process!

Every single day Lg peeps come up with a seed of an idea. This seeds gets tossed around for a bit, and then BAM! A new Lg idea is born!

Monkey (guy who whips us), came one morning with an audio thingy that makes audio clips sound like a robot. Kinda like Steven Hawking-ish. So this amazing technology got tossed around for a bit. As it Filtered throughout all of our brains, creative juices and magic spewing from our pores, something triggered in Monkey's brain and he pooped this out! Here's his pitch:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ROBOTS CAN'T ACT

We take extremely dramatic or funny movie scenes and recreate them
with the robot voices. The animation would be almost none other than
illustrations of robots in the character's costumes with their mouths
blinking when they talk. Example: Pulp Fiction

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Genius huh! So we slapped it in the butt, said "Congratulations Monkey, its a great idea!", he cried a little,... and sent it off to be created for your viewing pleasure! Wooo! Ron Paul 2008!

Here's some screen shots of the art done by none other than Joezee, and come to think of it, animated by him too! Go Joezee!

Robots make me giggle.
