This is even better than America's favorite acoustic heavy metal band, Tesla, covering the Mario theme.
Check out the Airborne Toxic Event doing a pure acoustic version of “Poor Isaac.” This is the way we like it over at the LG studios!
Dappled Cities flew all the way from Sydney, Australia just to do a live at LG Acoustic Session! Aren’t they jus the sweetest?! This is a seriously awesome band. For realizes.
When we first thought up the idea for the Live at LG acoustic sessions this is pretty much what we had in mind. One guy, one keyboard and goose bumps!
TPC were so good we just had to give youa bonus track this week. Here they are with an acoustic version of ‘Shoulders and Arms.’
Piebald are a group from Boston who have been cranking out crazy catchy pop/punk for a good number of years. While this might not be acoustic, it’s probably the closest they get!
Well I don’t know if you can really call this an acoustic performance, but either way it’s pretty frickin’ entertaining. The Harlem Shakes are one of those bands where the term “collective” actually applies. This was one of three songs they played for us from their debut EP titled Burning Birthdays. Look for them on tour this Summer!
Yeah that’s an acoustic guitar that J Mascis is playing the holy hell out of, but he’s added some bells and whistles like only Dinosaur Jr. can.
For those of you in the know, this is a rare acoustic performance from Dinosaur Jr.'s J Mascis playing the new single from the new record Beyond.
This is probably one of the best covers we have heard at the Live at LG Acoustic sessions and it’s a perfect fit for Limbeck. If you have never heard the original by The Byrds, well, then you should just be ashamed of yourself!
This track is an acoustic version of the first track off of the Mezzanine Owls debut album called Slingshot Echoes. We love it when a band comes in and does a version of a song that’s a lot different from the studio recording. After you listen to the Live at LG version head over to their site to hear the original.
The Broken West are a band from Los Angeles who play a brand of good times power pop. A funny thing happened when they came by the LG Studios for an acoustic session. They transformed into a group that sounded more like The Band, then Cheap Trick. Pretty impressive stuff. Check them out in the LG MusicPlayer as well.
The SLIP are a trio from Boston and Montreal who sound like there’s at least 6 people in the band. When they were in out studio we kept having to double check and make sure there were only three of them. It’s true. Anyway, they came in and treated us to an acoustic-y rendition of their single called “Children of December.”
Two of the boys from Sparta hit the ghetto=fabulous LG Studios and treated us to an early morning acoustic jam of "Taking Back Control." Pretty amazing to hear it all stripped down.
The Village Green stopped by our studios and lived up to their name by giving us a pretty amazing acoustic cover of the Kinks’ classic “Waterloo Sunset.”
Check out the acoustic awesomeness of Jose Gonzalez. He stopped by our studio and made us cry like little girls.
Pigeon John doesn’t play any “acoustic” business, but he still came up to our studios and rocked some live hip-hop with his DJ. It’s the kind of stuff that will get your head nodding and your brain smiling…I mean if a brain can smile that is.
José González came by the LG studio and played some songs for us, and he even brought his own microphone! This is a real acoustic performance.
