Last night on Idol Paula became flustered when trying to read her note cards, you'll understand why when you see what was written.
Chris Bosh requests your vote for the NBA All-Star Team. We reccommend writing him in on every other ballot you see in the coming months.
This can't possibly be written by WGA writers so please Hollywood, make it happen!
Neil Young once wrote a song about his "Cinnamon Girl", this one's kind of cute once you clean the cinnamon out of her.
Not only are they more advanced than your child in reading, writing, and arithmetic but also they rock the 1 & the 2 more precisely.
This commercial has the catchiest song, written in Oklahoma, about BBQ, ever. Making "it falls off the bone" sound sexy is no small task.
Dappled Cities flew all the way from Sydney, Australia just to do a live at LG Acoustic Session! Aren’t they jus the sweetest?! This is a seriously awesome band. For realizes.
When we first thought up the idea for the Live at LG acoustic sessions this is pretty much what we had in mind. One guy, one keyboard and goose bumps!
Their English teacher always told them "write what you know". So they grew up, formed a band in LA, and began writing songs about hilariously degrading women.
Amateur stuntman Rod Kimble (ANDY SAMBERG) has a problem – his step-father Frank (IAN MCSHANE) is a jerk. Frank picks on Rod, tosses him around like a rag doll in their weekly sparring sessions, and definitely doesn’t respect him, much less his stunts. But when Frank falls ill, it’s up to Rod to stage the jump of his life, in order to save his step-father. The plan: Jump 15 buses, raise the money for Frank’s heart operation, and then…kick his ass.
Chrisopher Blue has apparently been soaked in booze. Was he drunk during his session? No, BUT every review I have read about him compares his songs to Tom Waits and says he has “blues-soaked vocals.” I dunno about all that, but I do know this is one helluva performance. Watch it…now!
Mando Diao have been a favorite here at LG for some time now. We actually had a bunch of people from the office head out to the Troubadour to see them live last month. Needless to say we were all pretty psyched when the band stopped by for a session, and they didn’t disappoint. Here’s the first of three songs they played from their new record Ode to Ochrasy.
This is probably one of the best covers we have heard at the Live at LG Acoustic sessions and it’s a perfect fit for Limbeck. If you have never heard the original by The Byrds, well, then you should just be ashamed of yourself!
This was one of our favorite sessions yet as we actually had an accordion player in the house! Kate Havnevik is all over the place right now and we were psyched that she was nice enough to come by our studios a couple of weeks ago. One thing is for sure. The girl can sing. Keep an eye out for another song in a couple of weeks…
It’s not all that often that a band does a live cover that makes you want to find out more about the original artist, but I have a feeling this version of “Blue It Is” originally recorded by the late Billy MacKenzie might have that effect on a lot of you. This performance is one of my favorite moments from the Live at LG sessions. Good stuff!
Locksley are from the NYC, but they channel Liverpool like few bands can nowadays. This session was probably the most fun we’ve had since we started the series, and it was all because the guys in the band were having as much fun as we were. This track is from their most recent record Don’t Make Me Wait in stores now.
The Broken West are a band from Los Angeles who play a brand of good times power pop. A funny thing happened when they came by the LG Studios for an acoustic session. They transformed into a group that sounded more like The Band, then Cheap Trick. Pretty impressive stuff. Check them out in the LG MusicPlayer as well.
Silversun Pickups have really blown up over last year, what with their single getting heavy national radio play and even making an appearance on Late Night with David Letterman. So we were blown away when frontman Brian Aubert said he’d come by the LG Studios to play us some songs. We saw first hand why everyone is talking about this band…one of the best Studio Sessions we have ever had!
