This is almost art and quite possibly the laziest way to play Mario ever, do not hit a button and watch him go.
Rohner from Division Day dropped by the studio with a vintage keyboard he borrowed from a friend and proceeded to play some super stripped out versions of tracks from Division Day’s Beartrap Island record.
This week we had Tokyo Police Club in the studio where they played us a handful of songs including this pretty impressive version of ‘Your English is Good.’
Episode one of The Guild, in which we meet the poor souls trapped within the world of internet gaming. Wait a minute… hot girls don’t play video games. What a rip, FAKE! Go to Watchtheguild.com for more info!
Scissors For Lefty came by the studio and played us a stripped down version of their hit song “Ghetto Ways.” We dare you to try and get it out of your head. You will fail.
A small string quartet plays in an outdoor café – and pwns a guy on the phone!
At first I was like, "big deal – so he's playing Tetris!" Then I realized that this version of Tetris could totally melt your brain into insanity. It's freakin' genius.
This week we were psyched to have Jim Fairchild drop by the studio to play a couple of songs from the new All Smiles record, Ten Readings of a Warning. Enjoy!
I can't imagine the number of painstaking hours it took to set this Goldberg-esque contraption throughout this house. This guy obviously doesn't play MMORPGs.
I like street performers that actually bring something new to the table, to make me appreciate their disadvantaged-ness. Like playing an instrument with your feet.
Liquid Generation's own Doc Manhattan gets a new Transformer toy, and wastes nearly 40 minutes of his life playing with it! Must see to believe! Er... be bored!
Acute are a trio from Los Angeles who play pop music that is equally melodic and hooky. One song will have roaring power pop guitars and the next will lull you into submission with lush string arrangements and harpsichord solos! Check out their debut LP, “Arms Around a Stranger,” out now on Help Records.
Conan sends Triumph the Insult Comic Dog to the Tonys, where he avoids all jokes about gays and how lame plays are. Just kidding, he's friggin hilarious.
Get this ultimate action figure playset, and play along with your favorite sub-plots from Spiderman 3! Now with more action-packed emotions!
Mando Diao have been a favorite here at LG for some time now. We actually had a bunch of people from the office head out to the Troubadour to see them live last month. Needless to say we were all pretty psyched when the band stopped by for a session, and they didn’t disappoint. Here’s the first of three songs they played from their new record Ode to Ochrasy.
Well I don’t know if you can really call this an acoustic performance, but either way it’s pretty frickin’ entertaining. The Harlem Shakes are one of those bands where the term “collective” actually applies. This was one of three songs they played for us from their debut EP titled Burning Birthdays. Look for them on tour this Summer!
Yeah that’s an acoustic guitar that J Mascis is playing the holy hell out of, but he’s added some bells and whistles like only Dinosaur Jr. can.
For those of you in the know, this is a rare acoustic performance from Dinosaur Jr.'s J Mascis playing the new single from the new record Beyond.
This cute little kitty has a turtle buddy that likes to play. You'd think it'd be no match, but, damn! Watch that turtle go! Adorable AND violent!!
Limbeck are a band from the Los Angeles area, or to be more specific Orange County. They play a brand of classic California rock the way it used to be done back in the 70s. I have had a chance to see the band live a couple of times and their new self-titled record is one of my favorites of 2007. It’s the kinda music that makes you want to have a BBQ!
