At first I thought that guy was a big-baby-dumbass, but then I realized he's just French!
The wall on this building is a kinetic sculpture; the cut-out circular portion rotates and revolves freely!
Mando Diao have been a favorite here at LG for some time now. We actually had a bunch of people from the office head out to the Troubadour to see them live last month. Needless to say we were all pretty psyched when the band stopped by for a session, and they didn’t disappoint. Here’s the first of three songs they played from their new record Ode to Ochrasy.
When the judge's decision to send Paris back to prison is read, an unseen man cries out in obvious agony. Will celebrity justice never be served??
Extreme Animal! A tiger comes out of nowhere to attack a dude on an elephant! Nature's EXTREME!
Yeah that’s an acoustic guitar that J Mascis is playing the holy hell out of, but he’s added some bells and whistles like only Dinosaur Jr. can.
A Tae Kwon Do fighter gets kick in the head so hard that he falls to the ground, then tries to get up and stumbles around like a drunken jerk! Yay sports!
You have to wait until the end of the video, but these two redneck Jackass-wannabes manage to pop a couple wheelies on a crappy golf cart before it takes them out. Awesome!
Lightning taking out a tree was caught on camera, then replayed in slo-mo for your extreme-viewing pleasure!
This is one of those bands that I knew nothing about before they came in, and thought they would sound much different than they did…probably because of the name. It turns out that ATE happened to be one of my favorite performances in long time. If you are into BritPop and/or the Smiths I think this might be your new favourite band.
Revamped version of the hip-hop song you can't get out of your brain. From the makers of PaxilBack.
It always hurts when you have a face coming out of your mouth. But then again, who cares?
Kathy Griffin, AKA the world's most annoying female comedian/self-proclaimed D-List queen, fell down while getting out of a cab. She fell on her face. And we animated it.
Fall Out Boy Pete Wentz wears eyeliner, but since he's a boy, we call it guyliner. Apparently this was worth an entire People Magazine news piece. I'm going to go kill myself now.
This was one of our favorite sessions yet as we actually had an accordion player in the house! Kate Havnevik is all over the place right now and we were psyched that she was nice enough to come by our studios a couple of weeks ago. One thing is for sure. The girl can sing. Keep an eye out for another song in a couple of weeks…
I have been a big fan of Electric Soft Parade since their debut record came out back in 2002. Unfortunately the band has never had the success in the States that they have seen in the UK. Hopefully that will all change with the release of their latest record, No Need To Be Downhearted, out on April 24th. Highly Recommended!
It’s not all that often that a band does a live cover that makes you want to find out more about the original artist, but I have a feeling this version of “Blue It Is” originally recorded by the late Billy MacKenzie might have that effect on a lot of you. This performance is one of my favorite moments from the Live at LG sessions. Good stuff!
