The 2007 GRAMMY Awards
-
Wow. It's always rough when you go into something knowing it's going to kinda suck and then it exceeds all expectations with its downright awfulness. That's what the 49th GRAMMY Awards were.
From the onset when the Police played a soulless version of "Roxanne" to the Dixie Chicks winning all the major awards to having people spew lists of names (and Target) in their acceptance speeches. The entire night seemed stiff, stuffy and incredibly boring. All you want is to see pictures anyway.
Head over to Egostatic for some great galleries of all the Starlets at the show last night. You can also go to Yahoo! Music for official coverage of the entire Awards Show, including pics, video and all the winners.
If you want a minute to minute rundown of the entire GRAMMY night, you can check out Stereogum and Idolator who both live-blogged the show. There really wasn't much to write about though, and it shows.
Maybe the best part of the evening happened before the show even began, when John Mayer was being his hilariously smug self to tiny-E! boy Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet:
Finally, the winners for the Plug Awards were announced this morning, so if you want to get the bad taste and sound of The GRAMMY's out of your system check out the list. Sufjan Stevens as Male Artist of the year vs. John Mayer makes a little but more sense to us.
It wouldn't be a GRAMMY post without giving you a little Timberlake. Unfortunately clips from the show aren't up on YouTube yet, but you can watch his rehearsal. Apparently he needs "more guitar" quite often.
