In Your Ears: Ed Harcourt

It's funny how certain artists kind of just sneak up on you.  When people ask me what I am listening to lately it seems I always include Ed Harcourt...at least for the last couple of years.  He's one of those singer/songwriters who transcends the genre and creates records that are different and unexpected.  Sure it's not always great, BUT there are always moments of brilliance.  I am writing about him now, because his latest record titled A Beautiful Lie just barely missed making my top ten list.  It never came out in the States but should have a release here soon.  The funny thing is, that it's not even close to his best record.  That's how good this guy is.  So if you've never heard of him, or missed his last record, now's the time to catch up.  I have included some MP3s below from both A Beautiful Lie and his previous (and possibly best) record Strangers.  Let me know what you think..
