Joe Simpson Says I'm A Legend. Me!
Most people hate their in-laws. However, if Joe Simpson became mine, I think we'd get along famously. Here's what Joe said about me to People this week:

Making comments on each of your posts is a time consuming exercise, so I’d just like to make a few points on this one in response to your blog on Friday 13-04-07, and several rude references made by you on other posts at other times.
I was treated in an appalling manner by two of my former boyfriends quite some time ago, and would prefer to remain unmarried, until I’m ready to meet a decent, well educated, kind, understanding, formal man of around my own age. If you offend your fans, who’s going to purchase your records and who’s going to attend your concerts? There is only so much criticism and offence your fans can take before they draw the line, lose respect for you and switch off.
I have taken offence to some of your blogs and the content on your myspace comments column, and still don’t understand why you can’t adopt a more formal and diplomatic approach, instead of making a fool of yourself in public by making your highly offensive opinions known on a public blog.
My breast size is 34B and your comments about female breast sizes are rude and insulting. Your style of writing is cheap, casual, tacky, and littered with mistakes now and again, which can only mean one of two things, you’re either still smoking that mind blowing skunk, or you’re drinking and blogging – just give it up please and take care of your brain, and your brain will look after you.
I was quite tearful after watching the video featuring several fowl being murdered, and even more upset to see children witnessing the murder at the scene. How could you be so malicious as to show your fans and readers a cruel and barbaric film. I think meat is murder, and therefore I don't eat murdered animals - I adore them.
Your smug and pretentious attitude to wealth and success is as vulgar as your attitude to women and sex. Your past, current and future love making skills or mistakes should be a private affair and should remain behind closed doors.
Don’t cause controversy, tone down, and continue without causing further offence.

I don't appreciate you forcing the concept of being a vegan(among all the other opinionated views you demonstrated) is the only way to go to all of us. I think that is cheap, casual, tacky and just plain rude.

I think Papa Joe is realizing he needs to be more open to stay a part of his little girls life. So this welcoming comment is great! A blessing is his own endearing way.

shelley - Joe is a man of the music business. He knows a thing or two about music. There are a lot of things he doesn't know, however.

I don't offend my fans, I tell them the truth in my soul, and they respect me for that. My music is truth, and I wouldn't have my blog be any other way. As an artist, it's my job to make the truth public, so we can stop living in fear. I, John Mayer, am dedicated to this crusade.

I agree that video is cruel and barbaric, just like what happened to my song on American Idol, which is why I drew the comparison. I'm a great artist. I can't quiet down. If the truth is controversial, let there be controversy. If our founding fathers just kept quiet, we'd all be sipping tea and watching East Enders. That wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing, but you know what I'm saying.

In this instance, I will make it quite clear in no uncertain terms, that I prefer healthy men, who have had no previous hospital admissions for illnesses which could affect their health or confidence in the future. I prefer men with normal cognitive functions, and not men whose cognitive functions have been impaired at any time. You have made references to the female anatomy which I find insulting, and you have also assumed that other men share your view. Well Mr Mayer, men in the United Kingdom do not share your view, as both Kierra Knightly and Kate Moss, have both been voted as some of the most desirable women in the United Kingdom, by men in men’s magazines. If you can insult the female body, then surely you won’t mind if I insult you, your body, your mind(cognitive function), and the organs within your body.
I prefer men who don’t smoke and don’t drink alcohol, and more importantly, vegetarians and people who are not hypocrites that eat animals for lunch and yet keep pets for amusement.
I am not happy with your informal address, as I am not a guy, nor am I a dude. I am a white British woman who will achieve a diploma in teaching a musical instrument within the next few years, pending time and finances of course. Cat Deely, Kate Hudson, Kierra Knightly and Kate Moss all have breasts, but would you have the nerve to tell them that they did not fulfil your requirements in terms of the female form. Would you torment them for not having the breast size you require, as many magazines have done so during the past few years. A few of you need to lighten up. The way I see it, John has a sarcastic (and often intelligent) sense of humor. If his song lyrics reflect real thoughts and feelings you can tell that this guy isn't quite as egotistical and closed- minded as he sometimes comes across in his blogs.
