When we first thought up the idea for the Live at LG acoustic sessions this is pretty much what we had in mind. One guy, one keyboard and goose bumps!
Jimmy Kimmel's audience reaction will help you laugh through hearing "Chocolate Rain" one last time. That's about 14 minutes Tay...
Tammy Faye Bakker Messner passed away last Friday from terminal cancer, one day after appearing on Larry King Live. Visually memorable, to the end.
Some amazing CGI work mapped over some real live footage. Imagine a world where plants had eyes.
You’ve probably heard Cary Brothers before and didn’t even know it, as he had a song in some movie called Garden State that apparently changed people’s lives. In any case his new record called Who You Are is more deserving of your dollars than some silly soundtrack!
LG's got the first footage of the Larry King Live interview with Paris Hilton! Best part: she's naked!
Robbers On High Street have been kicking around the New York rock scene for a number of years now, but if you ask us they’re going to be a household name after the release of their latest record, Grand Animals, due out on July 24th. So yeah this is a sneak peek into what the album has in store, and you heard it at Live at LG first!
Hello and welcome to whose boobs the only on-line game to hi-jack the top five stories of the Boob-itomi towers.
This week a new face is added to the LG news crew. Lou Berk, our crotchety newsman, speaks with Paris Hilton live from her Five Star Jail Cell.
Mando Diao have been a favorite here at LG for some time now. We actually had a bunch of people from the office head out to the Troubadour to see them live last month. Needless to say we were all pretty psyched when the band stopped by for a session, and they didn’t disappoint. Here’s the first of three songs they played from their new record Ode to Ochrasy.
I'm not sure who Michele Merkin is, she's some sort of model apparently. What I do know is that she's got a super name. And I love her for that.
For those of you in the know, this is a rare acoustic performance from Dinosaur Jr.'s J Mascis playing the new single from the new record Beyond.
This is one of those bands that I knew nothing about before they came in, and thought they would sound much different than they did…probably because of the name. It turns out that ATE happened to be one of my favorite performances in long time. If you are into BritPop and/or the Smiths I think this might be your new favourite band.
Watch Paris Hilton in jail right now! It's live! It's boring! It's a great way to spend the afternoon!
Limbeck are a band from the Los Angeles area, or to be more specific Orange County. They play a brand of classic California rock the way it used to be done back in the 70s. I have had a chance to see the band live a couple of times and their new self-titled record is one of my favorites of 2007. It’s the kinda music that makes you want to have a BBQ!
This is probably one of the best covers we have heard at the Live at LG Acoustic sessions and it’s a perfect fit for Limbeck. If you have never heard the original by The Byrds, well, then you should just be ashamed of yourself!
Wax On Radio are a collective from Logan Square, an area on the West side of Chicago that is quickly becoming a hotbed for new and emerging indie acts. They were kind enough to swing by our studio while they were on tour and we always welcome bands from the Midwest through our doors. Plus anyone that plays the guitar upside down is pretty awesome in our book!
If you’re saying to yourself right now: “Self, I know I’ve heard this song before but can’t remember where,” chances are you watch a little program called Grey’s Anatomy. Let’s Go Sailing have become a staple on the show with not one or two but three songs receiving placement in those super dramatic almost laughable scenes. I don’t know about the show, but the band is great as evidenced by their stripped down version of the soon to be huge song “Sideways.” Good stuff!
