Optical Illusion Music Video

Hundreds of average bands with ugly lead singers could be heard collectively saying, "why didn't we think of that?”

Twin Tesla Coils Play Super Mario Bros

Twin Tesla Coils Play Super Mario Bros

This is even better than America's favorite acoustic heavy metal band, Tesla, covering the Mario theme.

The Mist Trailer

The Mist Trailer

In theaters 11-21-07. A freak storm unleashes a species of blood-thirsty creatures on a small town, where a small band of citizens hole-up in a supermarket and fight for their lives.

Talkdown: Interview With Radiohead

This week Lou Berk tries to interview the snaggle-toothed British band Radiohead. Emphasis on *tries.*

Silversun Pickups-Rusted Wheel

Silversun Pickups-Rusted Wheel

Here’s a special encore performance from one of the best bands we have ever had in the LG studios and who have gone on to do quite well this year!

Yes, I Can Read Music. Sex Music.

Yes, I Can Read Music. Sex Music.

This one time at band camp, there was like sex everywhere. The G note was doing the A from behind. And the B-flat was blowing C.

Dappled Cities - Fire Fire Fire

Dappled Cities - Fire Fire Fire

Dappled Cities flew all the way from Sydney, Australia just to do a live at LG Acoustic Session! Aren’t they jus the sweetest?! This is a seriously awesome band. For realizes.

Bearforce1

Bearforce1

Bearforce1 is a boy band that cuts to the chase. They like boys and they want to dance.

Warner Drive-The Shocker

Warner Drive-The Shocker

Their English teacher always told them "write what you know". So they grew up, formed a band in LA, and began writing songs about hilariously degrading women.

ATHF Movie Snacks Intro

ATHF Movie Snacks Intro

Mastodon performs as the evil snack band, in what may just be the greatest pre-movie concessions ad ever! From the Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie.

Gayest Video Ever: B44 - "Get Down"

Gayest Video Ever: B44 -

Never heard of this boy band before, but there's so much awkward sexuality going on here I don't know where to start. Maybe "interracial gay pedophilia" is a good place.

Vin Diesel's Coffee Haus

Vin Diesel's Coffee Haus

Have a cup of coffee with Vin Diesel and his band of cracked-out celebrity friends like Leonardo Di Caprio, Martin Scorsese, Julia Roberts and more!

Live: Mando Diao-Long Before Rock n Roll

Live: Mando Diao-Long Before Rock n Roll

Mando Diao have been a favorite here at LG for some time now. We actually had a bunch of people from the office head out to the Troubadour to see them live last month. Needless to say we were all pretty psyched when the band stopped by for a session, and they didn’t disappoint. Here’s the first of three songs they played from their new record Ode to Ochrasy.

The Harlem Shakes

The Harlem Shakes

Well I don’t know if you can really call this an acoustic performance, but either way it’s pretty frickin’ entertaining. The Harlem Shakes are one of those bands where the term “collective” actually applies. This was one of three songs they played for us from their debut EP titled Burning Birthdays. Look for them on tour this Summer!

Live: ATE - Girls In Their Summer Dresses

Live: ATE - Girls In Their Summer Dresses

This is one of those bands that I knew nothing about before they came in, and thought they would sound much different than they did…probably because of the name. It turns out that ATE happened to be one of my favorite performances in long time. If you are into BritPop and/or the Smiths I think this might be your new favourite band.

Live at LG: Limbeck - Big Drag

Live at LG: Limbeck - Big Drag

Limbeck are a band from the Los Angeles area, or to be more specific Orange County. They play a brand of classic California rock the way it used to be done back in the 70s. I have had a chance to see the band live a couple of times and their new self-titled record is one of my favorites of 2007. It’s the kinda music that makes you want to have a BBQ!

Live at LG: Wax On Radio - Today I Became A Realist

Live at LG: Wax On Radio - Today I Became A Realist

Wax On Radio are a collective from Logan Square, an area on the West side of Chicago that is quickly becoming a hotbed for new and emerging indie acts. They were kind enough to swing by our studio while they were on tour and we always welcome bands from the Midwest through our doors. Plus anyone that plays the guitar upside down is pretty awesome in our book!

Live at LG: Let's Go Sailing - Sideways

Live at LG: Let's Go Sailing - Sideways

If you’re saying to yourself right now: “Self, I know I’ve heard this song before but can’t remember where,” chances are you watch a little program called Grey’s Anatomy. Let’s Go Sailing have become a staple on the show with not one or two but three songs receiving placement in those super dramatic almost laughable scenes. I don’t know about the show, but the band is great as evidenced by their stripped down version of the soon to be huge song “Sideways.” Good stuff!

Live at LG: Electric Soft Parade - Come Back Inside

Live at LG: Electric Soft Parade - Come Back Inside

I have been a big fan of Electric Soft Parade since their debut record came out back in 2002. Unfortunately the band has never had the success in the States that they have seen in the UK. Hopefully that will all change with the release of their latest record, No Need To Be Downhearted, out on April 24th. Highly Recommended!

Electric Soft Parade - Blue It Is

Electric Soft Parade - Blue It Is

It’s not all that often that a band does a live cover that makes you want to find out more about the original artist, but I have a feeling this version of “Blue It Is” originally recorded by the late Billy MacKenzie might have that effect on a lot of you. This performance is one of my favorite moments from the Live at LG sessions. Good stuff!
