Tokyo Police Club - Your English Is Good

Tokyo Police Club - Your English Is Good

This week we had Tokyo Police Club in the studio where they played us a handful of songs including this pretty impressive version of ‘Your English is Good.’

Hot Fat Lady Dances

Hot Fat Lady Dances

This sexy vixen shows us the value of a well placed morning stretch. And how to hide an entire army of pies under your dunlap.

Internet Dream

Internet Dream

From the man who brought us Chocolate Rain, here comes Internet Dream. He better sign a contract pretty soon, its getting old already.

Scissors for Lefty - Ghetto Ways

Scissors for Lefty - Ghetto Ways

Scissors For Lefty came by the studio and played us a stripped down version of their hit song “Ghetto Ways.” We dare you to try and get it out of your head. You will fail.

Cary Brothers - Who You Are

Cary Brothers - Who You Are

You’ve probably heard Cary Brothers before and didn’t even know it, as he had a song in some movie called Garden State that apparently changed people’s lives. In any case his new record called Who You Are is more deserving of your dollars than some silly soundtrack!

Robbers on High Street - Crown Victoria

Robbers on High Street - Crown Victoria

Robbers On High Street have been kicking around the New York rock scene for a number of years now, but if you ask us they’re going to be a household name after the release of their latest record, Grand Animals, due out on July 24th. So yeah this is a sneak peek into what the album has in store, and you heard it at Live at LG first!

Microsoft Surface VS. Reality

Microsoft Surface VS. Reality

Technology is a magical thing that allows us to replicate the way things work in real life. Hey, why not just do those activities for REAL?

Ellen Degeneres Car Accident

Ellen Degeneres Car Accident

Someone got into a decidedly unfunny fender-bender with Ellen, on Sunset across from the Laugh Factory. Celebrities – they're just like us!

The Harlem Shakes

The Harlem Shakes

Well I don’t know if you can really call this an acoustic performance, but either way it’s pretty frickin’ entertaining. The Harlem Shakes are one of those bands where the term “collective” actually applies. This was one of three songs they played for us from their debut EP titled Burning Birthdays. Look for them on tour this Summer!

Dumb Kid Gets Hit by Car

Dumb Kid Gets Hit by Car

Call us cruel, but we love it when some jackass is screwing around and gets the short end of fate's stick. Especially when they're dumb white kids from the 'burbs and they're screwing around in their buddy's crappy Accord.

Live at LG: Western States Motel - Powerlines

Live at LG: Western States Motel - Powerlines

Western States Motel are from Los Angeles, CA and have a sound reminiscent of early Shins, especially when they stripped it down for us live at Liquid Generation. When they are huge remember where you heard them first!

This is another genius remix of "The Beetis"! You'll fall in love with diabetes, just like us!

Live at LG: Lovedrug - Castling

Live at LG: Lovedrug - Castling

This week in the LG Studios we have a band originally from Canton, Oh called Lovedrug. They played three songs for us from their sophomore record called Everything Starts Where IT Ends which will be in stores on March 6th. The band is currently on Militia Group and will be touring a ton for the new record. Go see them, you won’t be disappointed!

Live at LG: The Silent Years - Devil Got My Woman

Live at LG: The Silent Years - Devil Got My Woman

The Silent Years are a Detroit based group who got lost and ended up in Los Angeles. Since they were already here, we figured they should come by the LG Studios and play us some songs. And you know what? That’s exactly what they did! Check out this brooding version of “Devil Got My Woman.”

Live at LG: Autodrone - Panic

Live at LG: Autodrone - Panic

Short textAutodrone are a four-piece from New York who usually play with much louder guitars, but were willing to come by our studios and strip it down for us. The result was a much different sound than that found on their debut record, Panic.

Jim Gaffingan's "Hot Pockets"

Jim Gaffingan's

Mister Jim Gaffigan is very funny. You might recognize him for his extreme paleness. Here he shares with us his deep feelings about Hot Pockets

Live at LG: Silversun Pickups - Well Thought Out Twinkles

Live at LG: Silversun Pickups - Well Thought Out Twinkles

Silversun Pickups have really blown up over last year, what with their single getting heavy national radio play and even making an appearance on Late Night with David Letterman. So we were blown away when frontman Brian Aubert said he’d come by the LG Studios to play us some songs. We saw first hand why everyone is talking about this band…one of the best Studio Sessions we have ever had!

Live at LG: Silversun Pickups - Shadowplay

Live at LG: Silversun Pickups - Shadowplay

Silversun Pickups singer Brian Aubert played a couple of covers for us, but this one was our favorite. It’s a pretty amazing version of a Joy Division song that’s NOT “Love Will Tear Us Apart.”
