Silversun Pickups singer Brian Aubert played a couple of covers for us, but this one was our favorite. It’s a pretty amazing version of a Joy Division song that’s NOT “Love Will Tear Us Apart.”
Midnight Movies are without a doubt one of the best bands in the Los Angeles area. We somehow tricked them to come to the LG Studios and play us some of that good times music. Channeling the Velvet Underground never sounded (or looked) so good.
Paula Abdul got wasted and then did and interview on live television. Brilliant!!!
The SLIP are a trio from Boston and Montreal who sound like there’s at least 6 people in the band. When they were in out studio we kept having to double check and make sure there were only three of them. It’s true. Anyway, they came in and treated us to an acoustic-y rendition of their single called “Children of December.”
Street To Nowhere are originally from Oakland, CA, so they know what it’s like to be in the shadow of something (San Francisco…get it?), but show here that their songs and talent are second to none.
Dave from Street To Nowhere came by the studio and played a bunch of songs for us, one of which was this AMAZING cover of “Famous Blue Raincoat” originally recorded by the one and only Leonard Cohen.
Sierra Swan was the first Live at Liquid Generation performance that featured only vocals and a piano. Guitars are soooo overrated.
Kristoffer Ragnstam brought his soulful rock all the way from Sweden to the Liquid Generation studios and did a stripped down electric version of the track “Delicious”…it was.
Don't give your kid a lightsaber for Christmas. You won't live to regret it!
For just singles a day you can make a difference in these girls' lives. Won't you sponsor a stripper today?
Is this why they have that ban on extremely skinny models? Because I totally thought this was sexy.
Daniel from As Tall As Lions came by the LG Studios and sang us a ridiculously amazing version of the Holiday classic "O Holy Night." Get ready for goose bumps.
Without a doubt one of the best vocal performances to come through the LG Studios so far. If you think this is good, check out the Holiday cover he did. Wow.
Two of the boys from Sparta hit the ghetto=fabulous LG Studios and treated us to an early morning acoustic jam of "Taking Back Control." Pretty amazing to hear it all stripped down.
Vomiting on live TV never seems to bore me, but this guy seems to be the fastest at it.
Landon Pigg brought his guitar over to our studio and played a couple of intimate songs for us that we still can’t get out of our heads. This is the first song he played, called “Eggshells,” and look for more on the site soon.
The Village Green stopped by our studios and lived up to their name by giving us a pretty amazing acoustic cover of the Kinks’ classic “Waterloo Sunset.”
The Village Green are a rock band originally from Portland, OR. If you like the Rock the way it used to be then they are right up your alley. Check out this guitar and piano version of the track “Life On The Run.”
