Live at LG: Silversun Pickups - Shadowplay

Live at LG: Silversun Pickups - Shadowplay

Silversun Pickups singer Brian Aubert played a couple of covers for us, but this one was our favorite. It’s a pretty amazing version of a Joy Division song that’s NOT “Love Will Tear Us Apart.”

Live at LG: Midnight Movies - Patient Eye

Live at LG: Midnight Movies - Patient Eye

Midnight Movies are without a doubt one of the best bands in the Los Angeles area. We somehow tricked them to come to the LG Studios and play us some of that good times music. Channeling the Velvet Underground never sounded (or looked) so good.

Paula Abdul Drunk

Paula Abdul Drunk

Paula Abdul got wasted and then did and interview on live television. Brilliant!!!

Live at LG: The Slip - Children of December

Live at LG: The Slip - Children of December

The SLIP are a trio from Boston and Montreal who sound like there’s at least 6 people in the band. When they were in out studio we kept having to double check and make sure there were only three of them. It’s true. Anyway, they came in and treated us to an acoustic-y rendition of their single called “Children of December.”

Live at LG: Street To Nowhere - They're Not Like Us

Live at LG: Street To Nowhere - They're Not Like Us

Street To Nowhere are originally from Oakland, CA, so they know what it’s like to be in the shadow of something (San Francisco…get it?), but show here that their songs and talent are second to none.

Live at LG: Street To Nowhere - Famous Blue Raincoat

Live at LG: Street To Nowhere - Famous Blue Raincoat

Dave from Street To Nowhere came by the studio and played a bunch of songs for us, one of which was this AMAZING cover of “Famous Blue Raincoat” originally recorded by the one and only Leonard Cohen.

The Japanese are insane geniuses? Yes. Live video games rule!

Live at LG: Sierra Swan – Don’t Say

Live at LG: Sierra Swan – Don’t Say

Sierra Swan was the first Live at Liquid Generation performance that featured only vocals and a piano. Guitars are soooo overrated.

Live at LG: Kristoffer Ragnstam - Delicious

Live at LG: Kristoffer Ragnstam - Delicious

Kristoffer Ragnstam brought his soulful rock all the way from Sweden to the Liquid Generation studios and did a stripped down electric version of the track “Delicious”…it was.

Living Skeleton

Living Skeleton

Is this why they have that ban on extremely skinny models? Because I totally thought this was sexy.

Live at LG: As Tall As Lions - O Holy Night

Live at LG: As Tall As Lions - O Holy Night

Daniel from As Tall As Lions came by the LG Studios and sang us a ridiculously amazing version of the Holiday classic "O Holy Night." Get ready for goose bumps.

Live at LG: As Tall As Lions - Kickin Myself

Live at LG: As Tall As Lions - Kickin Myself

Without a doubt one of the best vocal performances to come through the LG Studios so far. If you think this is good, check out the Holiday cover he did. Wow.

Live at LG: Sparta - Taking Back Control

Live at LG: Sparta - Taking Back Control

Two of the boys from Sparta hit the ghetto=fabulous LG Studios and treated us to an early morning acoustic jam of "Taking Back Control." Pretty amazing to hear it all stripped down.

Instant Vomit on Live TV

Instant Vomit on Live TV

Vomiting on live TV never seems to bore me, but this guy seems to be the fastest at it.

Live at LG: Landon Pigg - Eggshells

Live at LG: Landon Pigg - Eggshells

Landon Pigg brought his guitar over to our studio and played a couple of intimate songs for us that we still can’t get out of our heads. This is the first song he played, called “Eggshells,” and look for more on the site soon.

Live at LG: The Village Green - Waterloo Sunset

Live at LG: The Village Green - Waterloo Sunset

The Village Green stopped by our studios and lived up to their name by giving us a pretty amazing acoustic cover of the Kinks’ classic “Waterloo Sunset.”

Live at LG: The Village Green - Life On The Run

Live at LG: The Village Green - Life On The Run

The Village Green are a rock band originally from Portland, OR. If you like the Rock the way it used to be then they are right up your alley. Check out this guitar and piano version of the track “Life On The Run.”
