It is possible of a white to grow up a minority. I am white and I know of at least three colleges I could have gone to and gotten a minority scholarship. I know cities and parts of cities where I would have grown up in the minority. My personal opinion about slavery is that it ended over 100 years ago; everyone directly involved is (almost certainly) longer alive; can we please move on? Yes, racism is still rampant in parts of the country, but I feel the situation would be helped if the "oppressed masses" didn't bitch and moan about the past. Just as racism exists on both sides, both sides need to participate to end it.

The teacher at the end? He was recapping a conversation with a student he had. The student was causing problems in class so he kicked him out. The student, who was black by the way, kept calling him 'nigga' swearing at him, etc. and was disrupting class from the doorway. The teacher finally lost his temper and said that. He got suspended, the student did not. Just cause he was white and said 'nigga.'
