Sympathy For Kayne West

We all know Kayne West gets mad.  There's even backstage VMA video to prove it:

We also know that Kayne complains a lot, whether it's about not winning awards or the president not liking black people.  I don't like complainers, and I don't always agree with Kayne -- particularly when it comes to him not winning awards.  Losing is a part of life, so don't be a baby -- just shake it off and move on.

That being said, I sympathize with Kayne on his latest tirade.  If you don't know, Kayne thought his suite party performance would be a full song, not just a snippet, and he's upset that other acts (particularly the main stage performers) got full songs on the air.  MTV has not denied allegations that they misled Kayne, which leads me to believe there might be some truth in what he says.  That he got "punk'd," so to speak.  Which sucks.

MTV is supposed to be the main gateway for kids to discover pop music, and when they trick a top selling artist like Kayne, they risk alienating other musicians.  After all, who wants to work with a company known for screwing people?  Furthermore, if you're a bizillionaire artist, why even put up with that crap?

My advice to MTV: be upfront with your artists.  Don't tell them they're gonna get something, then pull the red carpet out from under him.  My advice to Kayne: cool down and walk away.  You don't need MTV to sell records -- after all, they're not even playing videos anymore.
