Nicole Richie Will Fight Her DUI - What The F***?!

I admit - I'm no lawyer.  I don't even watch legal shows on television (unless you count Night Court).   So, I might be ignorant of the law, but...

HOW IN GOD'S NAME CAN NICOLE RICHIE POSSIBLY FIGHT HER DUI CHARGE?!

For those who don't remember, this is the idiot who drove the wrong way on the 405 freeway, and admitted to cops that she was smoking pot & popping pills.  Let's dissect this piece by piece:

1. She admitted she was high.

2. She admitted she was on Vicodin.

3. She drove the wrong way down a freeway.

Frankly, I could give a rat's ass about Paris Hilton driving on a suspended license, but putting people's lives in danger by driving like a total retard?!  That deserves some serious jail time.

Good luck in court, Nicole. Can anyone explain to me what possible grounds she has to fight the charge of "Driving Under the Influence?"
