The Pigeons of S*** Metal?!

In shocker news, Guns N’ Roses fans have no taste.
 

Eagles of Death Metal somehow landed a slot opening for GN’R and lost it after just one show, being dismissed by the great Axl as “Pigeons of S*** Metal”.  The story is that after a warmly received set by Sebastian Bach (??!!), EODM took the stage to confused reactions of “a few boos, some spare applause, but definitely no cheering”. 

John Soeder of Cleveland Plain Dealer told MTV news “My impression was, and I don't want to belittle the GN'R fans, but they didn't really get the inside-joke quality of the EODM -or the facial hair." 

Well, I do want to belittle them.  You guys suck, you live in the past, you wouldn’t know good music if it happened to be opening for a band you paid $100 to see only to spend two hours waiting in the cold while the lead singer braids his hair, you are mostly ugly, and Chinese Democracy is never coming out and if on the off chance it does, it will suck more than you can possibly imagine.  EODM have taken this in stride, however, and made a cool graphic for POSM available for viewing at their website. 

EODM also released a statement to the press, stating “At first the audience refused to welcome us to the jungle, but by the time we took our final bow, it had become paradise city.  Although Axl tried to November rain on our parade, no sweet child o' mine can derail the EODM night train. We say live and let die.”
