Here's what's happening this week in the world of indie rock:
- For the first time in 2007 we have a week of New Releases that are actually worth paying attention to, including new records from The Shins, Of Montreal, VietNam, Menomena, The Broken West, Field Music, The Good The Bad & The Queen, The View and much more. [Largehearted Boy]
- Arcade Fire Mania…The band debuted new material in the first of their impossible to actually see live shows and thus we have new Arcade Fire to listen to. Yay internet! [Gorilla vs Bear]
- Have you heard the new Bright Eyes single? It’s pretty, called “Tourist Trap” and you can download it. And check the post right after it for a live version of Bowie's "Moonage Daydream" by Of Montreal.[You Ain't No Picasso]

- Damon Albarn continues his habit of completely f**kin with interviewers. [Stereogum]
- The return of the ORIGINAL Van Halen! This is going to be a hilariously awesome train wreck. I mean have you seen David Lee Roth lately? [Billboard]
- If only this were true, it might be the best Festival of all time. Spin Doctors, Semisonic AND Bush. Ooo baby, you know what it's worth? We'll make Heaven a place on Earth. [Pitchfork]
- The Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival, which is set for April 27 through April 29, has announced its lineup. Headlining this year's festival are Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bjork and the reunited Rage Against The Machine...which if you ask me are the three worst artists playing! [CMJ]
- Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse, Korn goes unplugged. Here it is, your "Why Did I Just Watch That? YouTube Of The Day:
