Pete Doherty Deathwatch: #48

Last night Babyshambles played a sold out show in London where Pete Doherty dedicated a new song called "KP Nuts" to his "beautiful fiancée" Kate Moss confirming rumors that the couple are indeed engaged.  The new track is the same song that surfaced on YouTube earlier this month of a home video of Petey auditioning the track to Kate.  During the gig Doherty also reunited with former Libertines pal Carl Barat for a couple of songs, which is the most musical thing the guy has donein months.  Has Pete perhaps really turned it around? The show was apparently such a success that the after party found Kate Moss leaning out of windows exclaiming her love for Pete...or maybe she finally came to her senses and was trying to jump.  The real story here is who exactly the well groomed lad is helping Pete pull Kate out of the window.  Could it be Brit-Pop icon turned animated supergroup fronting and alleged Doherty hater Damon Albarn? It seems unlikely, but the resemblance is pretty uncanny. Let the rumors begin now! We're going to say that Albarn is recruiting Doherty to take Graham Coxon's place as lead guitarist for Blur. hehehe
